Anna & Graeme ~ Bracken Ridge ~ Martinborough
Anna & Graeme were married last Saturday at the lovely Bracken Ridge in Martinborough. The fantastic weather we had at Boomrock the day before followed us, it was as nice a day as you could imagine. The whole day was great fun, Anna & Graeme, their wedding party, and everyone there was relaxed and very friendly, making the day about as easy for us as a wedding can be!
Here’s a small selection of photos from their day, it was so hard to narrow them down, there are too many great photos to choose from!

Paula and Stephen’s Wedding at Bracken Ridge in Martinborough
Paula & Stephen were married at the beautiful Bracken Ridge on a chilly but sunny winters day. They put my assistant Olivia and I up in a two bedroom cottage the night before the wedding, a much appreciated gesture that made our day much easier, and I can recommend the cottages for a relaxing break! The rain held off long enough for some photos in the vineyards and the wine cellar at Palliser Estate, the whole day was fantastic and a lot of fun for everyone.
We received a lovely and very much appreciated note from Paula and Stephen after the wedding. My favourite part of the note says “The photos look amazing, we had so much fun the whole day. You made us feel so relaxed and special, it certainly was our best day ever. We loved working with you, love your work, and you come highly recommended from us”. It was great taking your photos guys, and thanks again for the note!

Photos from Fiji
I’ve been back in Wellington for a few weeks now, Fiji was beautiful, relaxing, and the 26 degree temperatures were a nice change from the frosty Wellington winter. If anyone’s considering a winter escape I highly recommend Fiji, and the Rydges Hideaway resort. Since then i’ve been working hard finishing off albums from this summer, encouraging and helping the few couples who haven’t yet decided what they want in their album.
As promised here are a few photos from my trip.
This is a bay near the resort where I went scuba diving, we saw a couple of sharks and some really colorful fish!

Sunset over the water

This is one of my favorites, taken from the beach at around 10pm one evening. It’s a long exposure photo showing the blue sky at night, along with the stars. The palm trees are blurry as the shutter was left open for around 30 seconds. I use this technique occasionally at weddings, though I usually combine it with a touch of off camera flash to light a couple at sunset.

Over the next couple of weeks i’ll show some photos from Paula & Stevens wedding at Bracken Ridge, and a few photos of the family portraits I did of Cindy, Mike and the kids. Cindy & Mike were the third or fourth couple who’s wedding I photographed, it was a pleasure to see them again and take some photos of their young family.
