Kari & Michael’s Wedding ~ Tarureka Estate ~ Featherston ~ Wairarapa
Kari and Michael were married at Tarureka Estate this past Saturday. It was a chilly day with a bit of rain here and there, but we were fortunate that it held off for the wedding party photos, and we even had some sun to warm the girls up! It was a lovely day, not too formal, and it totally suited the two of them. Kari wasn’t super comfortable in front of the camera, but the engagement session we did a few weeks before the wedding seemed to really help. It showed her how easy and relaxed the photos would be on their wedding day, and getting to know each other helped a lot too.
Lincoln and his wife (a lovely couple) from In the Grove kindly allowed us to take photos in their olive groves. It’s a beautiful property with a lovely cottage/house available for rent, check it out if anyone’s after a romantic weekend away in the Wairarapa.
Kari and Michael, it was a pleasure to photograph your wedding. It was one of the most relaxed, least rushed weddings we’ve ever photographed, being super organised and having a great plan helped a lot. Let us know when the little one arrives, we’d love to take some photos of your bundle of joy
Here are some of our favorite photos from Kari and Michael’s wedding day.
Jo & Anthony’s Wedding
Jo & Anthony were married at a friends house in Raumati South this past Saturday, with photos at a nearby park and on Paraparaumu beach. The weather couldn’t have been better, postcard perfect, warm, still, a great day for their wedding. They had a great fun relaxed day surrounded by friends and family.
Here are some of our favorite photos from their wedding day. Congratulations Jo and Anthony!
Kari & Michael’s Engagement Photos
We’re photographing Kari and Michael’s wedding in the Wairarapa at the beautiful Tarureka Estate in a couple of weeks. Kari (like many people) was a little nervous about having her photo taken, so we did an engagement session with them at the Massey Memorial. Engagement sessions are a great way for us to get to know the bride and groom, and vice versa, and for them to get used what happens on a photo shoot.
The engagement shoot was really fun, for us and for Kari and Michael. Kari’s told me it’ll help her feel much more comfortable on the day, which is fantastic. The main aim of an engagement shoot isn’t the photos, it’s the experience, but for Kari and Michael we managed to get some great images and some fun images too. Here are some of our favorites from their shoot. Look out for the wedding images in a couple of weeks!
Andrea and Gavin’s wedding ~ Gear Homestead ~ Whitireia Park ~ Porirua
Despite a forecast that changed every two hours the whole week leading up to the wedding, Andrea and Gavin got married on a beautiful still sunny day. They had a “first look” at Whitireia Park in Porirua, with their ceremony and reception at Gear Homestead, then photos around the lovely grounds. We had lots of laughs with Andrea and Gavin, their day was fun and relaxed.
Here are some of our favorite photos from their wedding day. Congratulations Andrea and Gavin!
Lara-Kate and Matt’s Wedding ~ Upper Hutt ~ Te Marua Golf Club
Lara-Kate and Matt were married on Saturday at Ascot Cinema in Upper Hutt, with some photos in a park beside a river and their reception at Te Marua Golf Club. I’d met Matt when he was best man for Jimmy and Liz a few years ago, so it was great to see some familiar faces again and have a bit of a chat with everyone.
Lara and Matt couldn’t have asked for a better day, blue skies, warm, with a light breeze to keep things from getting too hot. As always the day just flew by, the wedding party were fun and relaxed and made the day easy for us and fun for Lara and Matt. The wedding party and the groomsmen in particular seemed to love the golf carts, we couldn’t find the guys for a while until they came barreling along and screeching to a halt ready for more photos.
Here are some of our favorite photos from their wedding day. Congratulations to Lara-Kate and Matt!
